Week 15 of the Sunday Premier League marked the final round of Division 1 fixtures before a month-long break, with four of the eight teams in action across two matches. With momentum and league positions on the line, both fixtures delivered decisive outcomes heading into the hiatus.
In the first match, That Team built on their breakthrough victory in their last game with an emphatic 4–1 win over Seletar Celtic in a clash between the bottom two sides, who both started the day level on four points. Palanivelu Madhiventhan was the standout performer, earning Man of the Match honours with a clinical brace, striking in the 8th and 30th minutes to give his side a commanding half-time lead.
Seletar Celtic responded early in the second half through S. Gunesh, pulling one back just three minutes after the restart and threatening a comeback. However, as they pushed forward in search of an equaliser, they were caught out at the back. Anthony Loon restored That Team’s two-goal cushion late on, before AJ Mougli Ram added a fourth in the 80th minute to seal a comprehensive victory.
The headline clash of the week saw league leaders RTSBFC take on second-placed Druzhba United in a top-of-the-table showdown that carried major title implications. The first half was evenly contested, with Ashvinath Narenderan opening the scoring for RTSBFC in the 33rd minute before Nilo Mata Cervera responded just before the break to level matters at 1–1.
The second half, however, belonged entirely to RTSBFC. They raised the tempo and overwhelmed Druzhba with relentless attacking play. Christian Rodrigues and Ryan Tan both found the net, while Man of the Match Hakim Idris delivered a superb performance, scoring twice to cap off a dominant 5–1 victory.
The result sees RTSBFC head into the break on 19 points, three clear of Druzhba United with two games in hand, firmly positioning themselves as favourites in the title race.

Week 14 of the Sunday Premier League saw two of the eight Division 1 teams in action as the competition entered its final stretch before the mid-season break for the Muslim fasting month and Hari Raya. With crucial points at stake, both fixtures delivered drama and significant implications for the league standings.
The headline clash saw Druzhba United and Chin FC play out a thrilling 4–4 draw in an eight-goal spectacle that had everything from end-to-end action to late drama. Chin FC came into the match looking to bounce back from their previous defeat, but they were up against a formidable Druzhba side. The contest swung both ways, with neither team able to take full control.
Just when it seemed Chin FC might edge the result, X-League veteran Pavel Volkov stepped up once again, producing a dramatic equaliser deep into injury time to rescue a point for Druzhba. The forward’s experience and composure proved vital in a high-pressure moment. Lalrinzuala was a standout performer for Chin FC, netting twice and playing a key role in his side’s attacking threat throughout the match.
In the second fixture, That Team secured their first win of the season with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Bukit Timah AS. In a tightly contested encounter, it was Lingeshwaran who made the difference, finding the breakthrough in the 70th minute with a decisive finish.
Bukit Timah, who were pushing to close the gap on the league leaders, were left to rue missed opportunities as they failed to find a way past a resolute That Team defence. Dharwin Johanan and S. Surya delivered standout performances for the winning side, while Jovan Kwok and Iqmal Mazlan impressed despite the defeat for Bukit Timah.
As the league heads into a short break, the title race remains wide open with momentum shifting across the division.

Week 13 of the Sunday Premier League saw just two of the eight Division 1 teams in action, but it delivered a heavyweight clash with major implications at the top of the table. In a meeting between two title contenders, RTSBFC continued their red-hot form with an emphatic 3–0 victory over Chin FC at Woodlands Secondary School.
Fresh off their statement win against league leaders Druzhba United, RTSBFC came into this fixture full of confidence. They were up against a resilient Chin FC side, a team rooted in a proud community background and built on unity and passion since their formation in 2023. With both teams having finished second and third respectively last season, this clash carried added significance in the title race.
The match started at a blistering pace, and RTSBFC wasted no time in asserting their authority. Ashvinath Narenderan opened the scoring in the seventh minute with a composed finish, setting the tone for what was to come. Chin FC struggled to recover from the early setback, and misfortune compounded their woes as two consecutive own goals saw RTSBFC race into a 3–0 lead by the 41st minute.
Despite the scoreline, Chin FC continued to battle and showed glimpses of their attacking quality, but RTSBFC remained organised and disciplined at the back, shutting down any route back into the game. Their control in midfield and defensive solidity ensured they saw out the match comfortably.
There were still standout individual performances for Chin FC, with Wayne Chew earning Man of the Match honours for his tireless display, while Thang Hlei Sum also impressed with his work rate and attacking intent.
The result strengthens RTSBFC’s position in the title race and sends a strong message to the rest of the division as they continue their surge up the standings.

Week 12 of the Sunday Premier League featured just one Division 1 fixture, with two of the eight teams in action. But it was a blockbuster encounter as league leaders Druzhba United faced title contenders RTSBFC in a clash that could prove decisive in the race for the championship.
RTSBFC came into the match with unfinished business, having narrowly missed out on last season’s title on goal difference despite finishing level on points with champions Saturday Nights Live. Druzhba United, meanwhile, have been one of the standout sides this season after earning promotion from Division 2, and they arrived at this contest sitting at the top of the table.
With so much at stake, both sides approached the game with intensity and discipline. The first half was a tightly contested affair, with neither team able to break the deadlock. Chances were limited as both defences held firm, and the sides went into the break level at 0–0.
The game sprang into life in the second half. Hakim Idris broke the deadlock for RTSBFC, finishing well to give his side the lead. The momentum shifted firmly in their favour, and Richard Kua doubled the advantage in the 51st minute, putting RTSBFC in control.
Druzhba pushed forward in search of a response, but RTSBFC remained compact and disciplined, closing down spaces and managing the game effectively. Despite their efforts, Druzhba were unable to find a way back into the contest. Stefan Stojcevski stood out with a strong individual display for Druzhba, while Hakim Idris and Matteus Poon impressed for RTSBFC with influential performances.
The result sees RTSBFC climb up to third place in the standings, closing the gap on the top two and firmly inserting themselves into the title conversation as the season heads into its decisive stages.

Week 11 of the Sunday Premier League saw four of the eight Division 1 teams in action, with both top sides securing crucial victories to keep the title race finely poised. With the season entering a decisive phase, every point is proving vital at the summit.
After their momentum was halted by defeat to Chin FC in their last game, Druzhba United showed resilience and character to bounce back with a narrow 3–2 victory over Rulang FC at Clementi Town Secondary. The league leaders were pushed all the way in a closely contested encounter. Nilo Mata Cervera, who was named Man of the Match, led the charge with a clinical brace to keep Druzhba in control for much of the game.
Rulang FC refused to go away, with Lutfi Bhari and Mikhail Danial both finding the net to keep their side within touching distance. As the clock ticked down and the game hung in the balance, Druzhba found the decisive moment through Oleg Papov, who struck four minutes from time to seal all three points. The win ensures Druzhba remain firmly at the top of the standings as they continue their push for the title.
At the same venue, second-placed Bukit Timah AS kept the pressure on the leaders with a composed 3–1 victory over That Team. It was That Team who made the brighter start, taking the lead through Sasthitharan G. in the early stages. However, Bukit Timah responded with authority, showing their attacking quality and composure.
Kayden Neo brought Bukit Timah level before Muhamad Sholihin took centre stage, netting twice to turn the game around and secure a vital win. The result keeps Bukit Timah within striking distance of Druzhba, setting up an exciting battle at the top of Division 1.

Week 10 of the Sunday Premier League saw four of the eight Division 1 teams in action, with two contrasting fixtures delivering both tension and attacking flair. As the season progresses, teams are beginning to find rhythm, and the race for the top spots is tightening.
At Woodlands Secondary School, Chin FC extended their winning streak to three matches with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Seletar Celtic. After their thrilling 5–5 draw earlier in the season, expectations were high for another goal fest, but this encounter proved to be a much tighter and more tactical affair. Both sides remained disciplined throughout, limiting clear-cut chances. The breakthrough finally came in the 67th minute when Lallungmuana produced the decisive moment to separate the sides. Chin showed maturity in seeing out the result, while Seletar Celtic pushed until the final whistle. Jordan Koh impressed with a standout performance for Seletar, while Lalrinzuala was influential for Chin FC in a composed display.
Over at Clementi Town Secondary, RTSBFC produced a dominant second-half performance to secure a convincing 4–1 win over Acolytes FC. Despite a bright start from Acolytes, who took the lead through Muhammad Herwan in the seventh minute, RTSBFC responded strongly. Hakim Idris levelled matters in the 19th minute before Pe Chin Kiat put his side ahead just before half-time. RTSBFC carried their momentum into the second half, with Pe Chin Kiat grabbing his second shortly after the restart. Christian Rodrigues then added a fourth in the 50th minute to cap off an impressive turnaround.
The victory lifts RTSBFC up to third in the standings, keeping them firmly in the mix as the competition intensifies.

Week 9 of the Sunday Premier League saw just two of the eight Division 1 teams in action, with a solitary fixture taking place at Woodlands Secondary School. Despite the reduced schedule, fans were treated to a clinical and dominant display from Chin FC, who continued their strong run of form with a convincing 4–1 victory over Rulang FC.
Coming off the back of their statement win against league leaders Druzhba United, Chin FC wasted no time in asserting control. Thian Fam Kim, who was later named Man of the Match, opened the scoring in just the fifth minute with a composed finish. Barely a minute later, Zoh Hming Sanga doubled the lead, catching the Rulang defence cold in a blistering start. Chin maintained their attacking momentum, and Zoh grabbed his second of the game in the 28th minute to make it 3–0.
Rulang FC showed signs of life before the break, pulling one back through Darwys Bhari in the 37th minute to head into half-time trailing 3–1. The away side came out with renewed urgency in the second half and pushed forward in search of a comeback, but Chin remained organised at the back and dangerous on the counter.
As Rulang committed bodies forward, Chin sealed the result late on when Laltlanliana found the net in the 78th minute, putting the game beyond doubt. It was another polished performance from Chin FC, who are quickly building momentum in the league.
Despite the defeat, there were positives for Rulang FC, with Noor Ilfan Syadudin and Daniel Hanif putting in strong individual displays and working tirelessly throughout the match. The result sees Chin FC climb up to fourth place in the standings, leapfrogging Rulang FC, who drop to sixth as the battle for positions intensifies.

League leaders Druzhba United continued their flawless run, making it four wins from four with a confident 3–1 victory over That Team. The in-form Cheikh Boukal Ahmed, also known as Bassem, once again stole the headlines, netting twice to extend his lead as the division’s top scorer. At Woodlands Secondary School, fans were treated to a remarkable 10-goal thriller as Chin FC and Seletar Celtic played out a pulsating 5–5 draw. The match had everything, including early drama as Chin were reduced to 10 men in the 25th minute following L. R. Mawia’s red card. Week 4 of the Sunday Premier League may have seen one match washed out, but the action on the pitch was anything but dull. With six of the eight Division 1 teams scheduled to play, only two games went ahead after the clash between RTSBFC and That Team was postponed due to bad weather. Still, there was no shortage of drama and talking points.
At Clementi Secondary School, Rulang FC finally found their groove, securing their first victory of the season in emphatic style with a 5–1 win over Seletar Celtic. After back-to-back defeats, Rulang looked determined to make a statement and raced to a 2–0 lead by half-time. The goals kept coming after the break, with Musafar Ali, Aryan Putra, Noor Ilfan Syadudin, Lutfi Bhari and Danial Anaqi all finding the net in a commanding team performance. S. Dinesh managed to pull one back for Seletar Celtic in the 65th minute, but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation. Both sides agreed that Jordan Koh of Seletar Celtic deserved the Man of the Match award for his tireless display despite being on the losing end.
Over at another venue, Acolytes FC and Chin FC played out a tightly contested 1–1 draw that could have gone either way. The match was evenly balanced in the first half, with both sides cancelling each other out through disciplined defending and composed possession play. The deadlock was finally broken in the 42nd minute when Lallungmuana gave Chin FC the lead, slotting calmly past the keeper. But just when it seemed Chin would take all three points, Muhammad Fadhli struck late for Acolytes, equalising five minutes from time to secure a well-earned draw.
It was a week that reminded fans why Division 1 is never short of excitement, with goals, grit and last-minute drama all on display.

Week 3 of the Sunday Premier League produced another round of entertaining football as six of the eight Division 1 teams took to the pitch. Fans were treated to a goal-filled weekend featuring big comebacks, sharp finishing and a major early-season upset.
At Clementi Secondary School, Rulang FC were still searching for their first win but ran into a relentless RTSBFC side who showed why they finished runners-up last season. Rulang started brightly, taking the lead in the seventh minute through Chee Rui, but once RTSBFC found their rhythm, there was no stopping them. Jonathan Ramakrishna struck twice while Darryl Ong and Ryan Tan added to the tally as RTSBFC raced into a 4–1 lead. Rulang rallied in the second half with goals from Musafar Ali, Cohan Chong and Darwys Bhari, closing the gap to 5–4, but any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Ken Ji netted before RTSBFC sealed it with two late goals in the 64th and 66th minutes. The match ended 7–4, a thrilling encounter that showcased RTSBFC’s attacking depth and Rulang’s fighting spirit.
The same venue hosted another cracking contest as Acolytes FC claimed their second straight win with a 4–2 victory over That Team. AJ Mougli Ram opened the scoring for That Team before Soumya Brata Das levelled just before the break. The second half belonged to Acolytes, who shifted gears and dominated proceedings. Goals from Ian Goh, Wei Li and Dinie Tukiman sealed all three points, moving Acolytes up to second in the standings.
The biggest shock of the week came in the third match as Bukit Timah AS stunned title favourites Chin FC 4–1. Chin took a first-half lead through Lallungmuana, but Bukit Timah turned the game on its head after the break. Muhamad Sholihin, Hairul Huzaimi and Kayden Neo led the charge in a ruthless second-half display that sent a strong message to the rest of the division.

Week 2 of the Sunday Premier League may have featured just one fixture from Division 1, but it delivered enough excitement to fill an entire weekend. Only two of the nine Division 1 teams were in action, as Acolytes FC squared off against Rulang FC at Woodlands Secondary School in a match that produced nine goals and end-to-end drama.
Acolytes entered the contest looking to bounce back from their narrow defeat to Bukit Timah AS on opening weekend, while Rulang were making their first-ever appearance in the X-League. The match lived up to its billing as both sides came out firing, trading blows in an open, high-tempo encounter that kept spectators on their feet.
In the end, it was Acolytes FC who emerged victorious with a 6–3 win, though the scoreline was harsh on Rulang, who conceded twice in the final two minutes, including an unfortunate own goal. The visitors showed attacking flair throughout, with Wei Li, Dinie Tukiman, Soumya Brata Das (who netted a brace), and Muhammad Fadhli all finding the net. Their sharpness in the final third ultimately proved the difference on the day.
Despite the defeat, Rulang FC earned plenty of plaudits for their performance and resilience. John Singh and Chee Rui impressed with their tireless work rate and attacking contributions, while for Acolytes, Abdul Rahim and Wei Li stood out with commanding performances that helped steer their side to a much-needed first win of the campaign.
It was a baptism of fire for Rulang FC, but their spirited showing suggests they will not be pushovers this season. With both teams showing plenty of attacking intent, Division 1 looks set for more fireworks in the coming weeks.

Season 17 of the Sunday Premier League got underway with an action-packed opening weekend that saw six of the nine Division 1 teams take to the field. With every match now being officiated by FAS Match Officials, the new campaign promises quality football under the watchful eyes of Singapore’s top referees.
The first clash of the season saw newly promoted Druzhba FC announce their arrival in Division 1 with a commanding 4–1 win over That Team. Despite conceding early through Gino’s third-minute opener, Druzhba hit back in style. Spanish forward Nilo Mata Cervera levelled in the 23rd minute before running riot in the second half, netting twice more to complete a superb hat trick. Teammate Cheikh Boukal Ahmed, better known as Bassem, also got on the scoresheet in a dominant display that sent a clear message to the rest of the division.
Over at another ground, RTSBFC, who narrowly missed out on the title last season, produced a thrilling comeback to edge Seletar Celtic 4–3 in a seven goal spectacle. Celtic, last season’s Division 2 champions, looked on course for victory after goals from Krishnan, Rasool Tajud and Rafiq Tajudin turned around Pe Chin Kiat’s opener. But RTSBFC showed real character and match fitness in the second half, clawing their way back through Josiah Phua and Ken Ji before Richard Kua fired home the late winner just three minutes from time.
At Clementi Town Secondary, Bukit Timah AS opened their campaign with a dramatic 2–1 victory over Acolytes FC. Wei Li put the home side in front before Aqil Sohani levelled early in the second half. Just as it seemed both sides would share the spoils, Muhamad Sholihin struck two minutes from time to seal all three points. Special mention to Eric Shaun Pereira of Acolytes, whose standout display earned him the Man of the Match award.
