Team Report

The opponents for Team Awesome were obviously younger and much faster than they were and early minutes clearly showed. With Team Awesome being kept in their own half for most of the first half with quick attacking play from their opponents. Scoring 2 quick goals gave our opponents a big confidence boost and they kept on pressing for more. Losing 3-0 at half time would have meant that the game is lost but Awesome, keeping to our never-say-die attitude kept on playing with much belief and felt that a draw would have been a fairer result with the amount of attacking we did in the second half. A rush of blood for Nazano meant that the ref had no choice but to show him off the field for a late tackle in the penalty box, just after Team Awesome had scored their first goal of the match. Having to play the rest of the game with 10 men, Team Awesome managed to dominate periods of the game and scored 2 more goals courtesy of playmaker, Rezal and midfielder, Hasif. Game ended with Awesome having to taste defeat but a great competitive game played with great sportsmanship in the scorching hot sun.
