Vastatores hit summit while FootPanda deliver composed win

Week 6 of Season 17 in the X-League Sunday Premier League delivered another exciting round of action in Division 3. There are eight teams in the division and six of the eight teams were in action this week, with three fixtures producing goals, standout displays and a significant shift at the top of the table. The action kicked off with a ten goal thriller at Clementi Town Secondary School as Triple C FC ran out emphatic 7-3 winners over Clementi FC. Hat-trick hero Kerwin Cheng led the charge with a clinical display in front of goal, while Keith Tay added a brace and Heng How Meng got on the scoresheet. An early own goal in the 13th minute further compounded Clementi’s struggles. To their credit, Clementi FC showed late fight with goals from Syazwan Zainal and Ferlanni Efendi in the closing minutes, but it proved to be no more than a consolation in a one sided contest. Elsewhere, FC Vastatores continued their strong run of form with a composed 3-0 victory over Kiddos Super Subs. Muhammad Junaidie, also known as Wak, opened the scoring in the 10th minute to give Vastatores early control. They maintained their dominance throughout the match and added two more goals in the second half through Muhammad Haikal Azri and Mohamad Shareezan to seal all three points. The result sees Vastatores climb to the top of the league standings, overtaking Sedap FC in the process. In the final fixture of the week, FootPanda FC secured a solid 2-0 win over FC Elitez with a goal in each half. Hadi Raiyan struck early in the 6th minute to set the tone, while Man of the Match Ibad Khalid added a second to put the result beyond doubt. Despite the defeat, Iman Shah of FC Elitez delivered a commendable performance and stood out for his side. With the race for top spot heating up, FC Vastatores now lead the pack while the chasing teams look to respond in what is shaping up to be a tightly contested Division 3 season.
