LAGGAU FC RUN RIOT IN SECOND HALF TO POWER PAST CLASS FC

Week 11 of the Sunday Premier League Season 17 saw Laggau FC return to action in emphatic fashion as they produced a clinical second half display to defeat Class FC 6-2 at Clementi Town Secondary. Coming into the clash, Class FC sat fifth in the standings despite their defeat the previous week, while Laggau were eager to respond after back to back losses following a strong start to their campaign. It was Class FC who made the brighter start. Laggau, however, remained composed and gradually grew into the game. Their persistence paid off in the 25th minute when Suaidi Maricar found the equaliser, ensuring both sides went into the break level at 1-1. The second half exploded into life almost immediately. Matin Safrain put Laggau ahead in the 43rd minute, only for Quah Boon Yi to respond a minute later with a swift equaliser for Class FC. The drama did not stop there as Suaidi Maricar restored Laggau’s lead just moments later, capping off a remarkable three goal burst in the space of three minutes. With momentum firmly on their side, Laggau took control of the contest. Matin Safrain added his second of the game before Aqil Hanafi got in on the act. Suaidi Maricar then completed a superb hat trick to round off a dominant attacking performance and seal a convincing 6-2 victory. The result marks Laggau FC’s second win of the season and lifts them up to third place in the standings, reigniting their push up the table. For Class FC, it was a game that slipped away after a promising start, but they will look to regroup in the coming weeks.
