CHIN FC STUN DRUZHBA AS SELETAR CELTIC CLAIM FIRST WIN

Week 8 of the Sunday Premier League saw all eight Division 1 teams in action, with four fixtures played in a full slate of matches. With all eight teams taking to the pitch across the weekend, fans were treated to a thrilling round packed with drama, comebacks and goals. The standout clash saw Chin FC hand league leaders Druzhba United their first defeat of the season in a performance full of character and quality. Druzhba started strongly and took the lead early through Kostya Gavrilov in the 10th minute, dominating much of the first half. However, the second half told a completely different story. Chin FC came out with renewed intensity and turned the game on its head with goals from Thang Hlei Sum, Lallungmuana, and Man of the Match Nang Khan Kim, sealing an impressive 3–1 comeback victory. At Woodlands Secondary School, Seletar Celtic secured their first win of the campaign with a 3–1 triumph over Rulang FC. The difference-maker was Brian Davidson, who produced a clinical hat-trick to earn Man of the Match honours and give his side a much-needed boost. Over at Clementi Town Secondary, fans witnessed two entertaining draws. In the first, Bukit Timah AS fought back from two goals down to earn a 2–2 result against RTSBFC. Goals from Richard Kua and Christian Rodrigues had RTSBFC in control at half-time, but Bukit Timah showed resilience. Anaqi Ismit pulled one back in the 54th minute before striking again in the dying moments to rescue a point. The second fixture at the same venue saw Acolytes FC and That Team share the spoils in another 2–2 draw. Dinie Tukiman opened the scoring before Ramesh Jeiri levelled just before the break. P. Vaithiyanathan then gave That Team the lead early in the second half, only for Muhammad Herwan to respond almost immediately with the equaliser. It was a weekend full of goals, momentum swings and statement performances as Division 1 continues to deliver top-quality football.
