BUKIT TIMAH STAY RED HOT AS DRUZHBA AND RULANG KEEP PACE

Week 5 of the Sunday Premier League delivered another thrilling round of Division 1 action, with six of the eight teams taking to the pitch. With the title race beginning to take shape, several sides continued their strong early-season form in a weekend packed with goals and standout performances. Bukit Timah AS extended their impressive run with a third consecutive victory, overcoming Seletar Celtic 4–1 in a dominant display. It was Seletar who struck first through Rasool Tajud in the 23rd minute, but Bukit Timah responded with composure and quality. Syafie Mawardie restored parity before Sahil Yadav gave the home side the lead just before the break. With the game finely poised at 2–1, Bukit Timah showed their clinical edge late on as Ahmad Mirza and Anaqi Ismit both found the net in the closing minutes to seal a convincing win. Elsewhere, Druzhba United continued their strong start to the campaign with a 4–2 win over Acolytes FC at Clementi Town Secondary. The away side looked sharp in attack, with Cheikh Boukal Ahmed, also known as Bassem, Nilo Mata Cervera, Stefan Stojcevski, and Man of the Match Dominik Stanojevic all getting on the scoresheet. Acolytes showed flashes of quality but were ultimately undone by Druzhba’s cutting edge in the final third. In another tightly contested encounter, Rulang FC secured their second win of the season with a hard-fought 3–2 victory over That Team. Goals from Chee Rui, Darwys Bhari, and Irfan Rosli proved decisive in a match that remained on a knife edge throughout. Nur Fitri and Darwys Bhari stood out for Rulang with energetic and influential displays, while Lingeshwaran and P. Vaithiyanathan impressed for That Team despite the narrow defeat.
