BRANDON THIO HAT TRICK POWERS PACEY BLINDERS INTO SECOND PLACE

Week 15 of the Sunday Premier League Season 17 saw four out of the eight teams in Division 2 in action, with Pacey Blinders FC taking on Class FC in a crucial clash that had major implications for the top of the table. With a two game winning streak behind them, Pacey came into this tie full of confidence and with a chance to climb into second place. They wasted no time making their intentions clear. Brandon Thio, who would go on to steal the show, opened the scoring as early as the 4th minute. Class FC responded quickly, showing their resilience as Shapulatov Umidjon equalized in the 9th minute. The game continued at a lively pace, with both sides going toe to toe. Rayner Koh restored the lead for Pacey Blinders in the 15th minute, only for Muhammad Shafiq to bring Class FC level again in the 30th minute. Up until that point, it was a well balanced contest with neither side able to gain full control. Then came the turning point. The floodgates opened and the Brandon Thio show truly began. The in form forward struck twice in quick succession in the 32nd and 34th minutes to complete his hat trick and give Pacey a commanding 4-2 lead going into half time. From there, Pacey managed the game well in the second half, keeping Class FC at bay while continuing to threaten going forward. Khaw Relph added a fifth goal late in the game to seal a convincing 5-2 victory and cap off another strong performance from the side.
