Week 27: D’ANGELOS SAINTS ARE CHAMPIONS
The final game for Div 3 of the Sunday Premier League was played this week between Team Awesome and Atlas FC and what a game it turned out to be. Having lost their first leg 4-2, the home side turned things around and came away 4-3 winners thus ending their season in 7th spot.
As for the season itself, what a dramatic roller-coaster ride it’s been with over 400+ goals scored in total. D’Angelos Saints end the season as CHAMPIONS on goal-difference despite being tied on points with Chestercity. The Saints won 11 of their 16 matches with only three defeats, two of which were to Chestercity. Jugar Duro surprisingly end the season in third spot despite being at the bottom half of the table for most of the season.
Janus Lim of Entertainers FC walks away with the Golden Boot while Azlan “Yayan” Yazid is named league MVP.

Week 26: Chestercity edge Entertainers FC in 11 goal thriller as Jugar end the season in 3rd spot
Chestercity beat Entertainers FC 6-5 this week in a game which sealed 2nd spot for the home side. Having beaten D’Angelos Saints in both home and away legs, Chestercity were on track to lift the Div 3 title until a poor run ruined their title chances at the midway point. Special mention for Man of the Match, Erfan Zakariah who netted four goals for the home side.
Over at Yio Chu Kang Secondary, Jugar Duro FC sealed third spot in the league standings with an impressive 8-0 demolition of Atlas FC. The away side had this to say after the game, “We were short of players today and paid the ultimate price. Our opponents were very fast on the counter and displayed incredible chemistry. Lastly, Giocatori FC ended their season pipping Team Awesome to 7th spot with a narrow 1-0 win over their rivals at Mayflower Secondary.

Week 25: Lion Heart FC Alpha move up to third with Jugar Duro hot on their heels
The most significant results this week came from two unfortunate walk-overs. Firstly, Lion Heart FC Alpha moved up to third spot due to surprising a walk-over win against Entertainers FC. This was the perfect opportunity for Entertainers to ensure that they finished the season with honours but the home side unfortunately couldn’t find enough players for the game. With Sparta Cowboys pulling out at the start of the season, Jugar Duro enjoyed three free points and also leapfrogged Entertainers FC in the table standings.
Six goals were scored at Naval Base Secondary as sixth placed Atlas FC took on seventh placed Team Awesome. Atlas came away 4-2 winners in this tie thanks to fine efforts from Man of the Match, Azlan “Yayan” Yazid (2), G. Raghu and Sazli Suhaimi. Here’s what the home side had to say after the game, “Our opponents started attacking straight from kick-off and took a well-deserved 2-0 lead after 30mins. Sazli then pulled a goal back through a long range shot just before HT. We pushed forward more in the second half and got an equalizer through Raghu thanks to another long range effort. We then took the lead when Capt Yayan cheekily curled in a quick free kick while the Gk was setting up his wall. The opponents protested but according to Fifa Rules, one doesn’t need to ask for a wall when a free-kick is given. We then secured the winner through Yayan when he scored from close range thanks to a superb assist from hafiz. FT 4-2”.

Week 24: Jugar Duro bounce back with emphatic win
Four goals from Man of the Match and leading Div 3 Top-scorer Janus Lim was not enough to stop Entertainers FC from going down 9-6 to Jugar Duro FC at Naval Base Secondary this week. Having had their 6 game unbeaten streak come to an end last week at the hands of Lion Heart FC Alpha, the away side put on a starling performance to move with one point of finishing with honours this season thanks to goals from Irfan Rahman (4), Danish (2), Mohammad Hassan and Muhammad Iqbal (2).
Over at Naval Base Secondary, Lion Heart FC Alpha failed to build momentum on their win last week when they were held to a 4-4 draw by seventh placed Team Awesome. The result however sees them tied on points with Entertainers FC.

Week 23: Entertainers blow title chance while Jugar Duro’s win streak comes to an end
Having beaten Atlas FC 12-1 in their previous encounter many expected Entertainers FC to do the same in their away leg. The home side however put on a valiant performance to draw the second tie 4-4 which may potentially hurt Entertainers chances of lifting the title. Having lost a crucial tie to D’Angelos Saints, Entertainers FC were in a position where they needed to win every single game till the end of the season to be crowned champions. Here’s what Atlas had to say after the game, “We adopted a more patient approach at the start of the game after being trashed in our previous encounter. Our counter attacking strategy really paid off especially having taken a 2-10 lead with our newest father in the team, Adi Sufian. Final score was 4-4. Crazy game”.
Jugar Duro’s six match unbeaten streak came to an end this week when they lost 4-2 to Lion Heart FC Alpha at Yio Chu Kang Secondary. The win sees Lionheart move up to 24 points, just one below Entertainers FC. Over at Naval Base Secondary, Chestercity moved to within 3 points of D’Angelos Saints with a 4-1 win over Giocatori FC thanks to goals from Man of the Match Syamsul Arifin, Ridwan Salim (2) and Ryan Sufiyan.

Week 22: Fate of the Div 3 title no longer in the hands of D’Angelos Saints FC
League leaders D’Angelos Saints FC took on Entertainers FC this week in a game which could potentially decide the Sunday Premier League Div 3 title. With four games in hand coming into this tie, Entertainers FC had the best mathematical chance to lift the title. Bearing this in mind, D’Angelos Saints desperately needed to win and win they did. In what can only be described as an action filled social footballing spectacle coupled with all the drama and excitement one can come to expect from the X-League, D’Angelos Saints FC clawed their way back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 courtesy of goals from Mohan Raj and Sasitharan Krishnamurthy.
Entertainers FC still have a chance to win the title, all the have to do is win all their remaining games starting with Atlas FC next week. We caught up with Praveen Raj from D’Angelos and Janus Lim (the leading Div 3 top scorer) from Entertainers FC after the game and here’s what they had to say-

Week 21: D’Angelos held by Jugar Duro as Entertainers score emphatic win!
The title race saw a change in favourites this week as league leaders D’Angelos Saints were held 1-1 by a resilient Jugar Duro side while Entertainers FC scored an emphatic 12-1 win over Atlas FC at Queensway Secondary. Having taken the lead through Moolah Lea, D’Angelos were cruising to victory until Rozaidi Hamedi converted a free-kick "Ronaldo style" in the dying seconds of the game. Jugar Duro Team Manager Muhammad Shoffian had this to say after the game, “I’m so happy with my players today. They showed tremendous team spirit and fought hard to get back into the game. We came into the tie hoping not to lose and what a way to earn a point. Kudos to Dodi for that well taken free kick. We hope to keep the momentum going and win the remainder of our matches.”
Four goals from Hafiz Aziz combined with a hat-trick by Janus Lim and fine efforts by Irfan Sazali and Yong Jie saw Entertainers FC conjure up their biggest win of the season when they beat Atlas FC 12-1. The away side had this to say after the game, “Atlas suffered our biggest loss of the season today and deservedly so. Going 4-0 down by half-time was always going to be a mountain to climb. Captain Yayan scored the only consolation goal for our side and we wish him all the best in chasing the league MVP award. He’s been outstanding this season. We will bounce back from this for sure.”
Over at Bedok South Secondary, Giocatori FC built on their shock 5-3 win over Entertainers FC last week with an impressive 7-3 win over Lionheart Alpha FC thanks to five goals from Man of the Match, Muhd Hafizan aka Zan Jr.

Week 20: Giocatori FC pull off upset of the season
Eight placed Giocatori FC pulled off the upset of the season this week beating potential title contenders Entertainers FC 5-3 at Queensway Secondary. The visiting team were stunned within the first ten mins of play when the home side went 3-0 up thanks to goals from Nantha Kumar, Muhd Hafizan and Amarjit Singh. Leading Div 3 goal-scorer Janus Lim then pulled a goal back for Entertainers FC before Kailash made it 4-1 going into the break. The visitors came out of half-time all guns blazing and pulled a goal back through Janus Lim once again to bring the score to 4-2 in the 60th min. Guna Segaran then sealed the nail in the coffin 10mins from time with a well placed goal from close range. We caught up Giocatori FC after the game and here’s what they had to say-
Over at Bedok South Secondary, Jugar Duro FC scored an impressive 5-1 win over Atlas FC in a game which they dominated from start to finish. Afeez Jamil, M. Fakim, Aidid Haidil and Irfan Rahman were on target for the visiting side. Week 19: Azlan “Yayan” Yazid celebrates his 50th Goal
Having lost to Entertainers FC 9-2 last week, former league leaders Chestercity couldn’t have asked for a tougher opponent to make a comeback this weekend. Made up of some of the players that finished as Div 3 Champions last season from Gombak Guerreiro FC, Jugar Duro had won their last three matches coming into this tie. So it was to no one’s surprise that the Tigers came away 4-1 winners thanks to fine efforts from Rozaidi Hamedi (2 goals) and Danish aka Dan (2 goals). Jugar Duro had this to say after the game, “We did it again. The odds were stacked against us but we managed to pick up the three points. We had a horrendous start to the season but we’re slowly getting back into the groove. Hopefully we’ll be able to win all our remaining games till the end of the season.”
Over at Ang Mo Kio Secondary, the X-League caught up with Azlan “Yayan” Yazid who celebrated scoring his 50th Goal in all X-League competitions. His side beat Giocatori FC 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick by who else but The Man himself-
League leaders D’Angelos Saints moved one step closer to the Div 3 league title with a crucial 4-1 win over Entertainers FC at Queensway Secondary. Man of the Match Nagaraj “Kun” Seh, Thinesh S, Moolah Lea and Mohan Raj were on target for the away side.
The results this week mean that only three teams now have a realistic chance to lift the Division 3 title. Will it be Chestercity FC, D’Angelos Saints FC or Entertainers FC? Only time will tell.

Week 18: Disappointing turnout mars potential title decider
The match between Entertainers FC and Chestercity FC this week was touted as a potential title decider but unfortunately the game turned out to be a whitewash in favour of the home side. Starting with only seven players, Chestercity were doomed from kick-off but somehow managed to keep the score-line at bay for the first ten mins of play. The floodgates then opened when Helme Sarim netted from close range. He then made it 2-0 ten mins later before Janus Lim bagged two of his own to bring the score-line to 4-0 going into half-time. Chestercity had eight men to kick-off the second half but it worked to their disadvantage as Entertainers went on to score five more before the final whistle. Final score Entertainers FC 9 Chestercity FC 2.
The X-League caught up with both teams before the match kicked-off and here's what they had to say-
Over at Marsiling Secondary, Jugar Duro FC made it three wins in three matches by beating Giocatori FC 4-1 thanks to goals from Mohammad Hassan, Irfan Rahman and Aidid Haidil. D’Angelos Saints regained top spot in the league standings this week with an emphatic 6-0 win over Lion Heart FC Alpha at Unity Secondary. This was a crucial win for the away side having lost to the Alpha’s 5-2 in their previous encounter. Team Manager Hamren had this to say after finding out about Chestercity’s result, “The boys knew that we had to win today. We certainly weren’t expecting Chestercity to lose by that margin. Nonetheless we need to focus and take one game at a time. We’ve got a couple of tough matches coming up including home and away legs against Entertainers FC. If we can replicate our performance today, we should be able to churn out some positive results.”

Week 17: Jugar Duro are back with a bang!
Following two back to back 3-2 defeats, Jugar Duro finally got back to winning ways last week with a crucial 3-1 win over Team Awesome at Yio Chu Kang Secondary. They made it two wins in a row this week with a 14-2 mauling of Giocatori FC thanks to goals from Man of the Match, Rozaidi Hamedi (2), Irfan Rahman (4), Afeez Jamil (3), Aidid Haidil (2), Danish (2) and Muhammad Iqbal. The away side had this to say after the game, “Jugar Duro FC will never give up. We had a slow start to the season but we’re picking up. We’re hungry for success and we’re going to show what we’re made of moving forward”.
Over at Marsiling Secondary, Lion Heart Alpha shocked onlookers when they beat potential title contenders D’Angelos Saints FC 5-2 in a tale of two halves. The win sees Lion Heart Alpha tied on points with third placed Entertainers FC. Due to earlier postponements, the two teams will meet again next week at Unity Secondary and another loss for D’Angelos Saints could prove to be hugely detrimental in their quest for the title.

Week 16: Are you ready to be Entertained?
Entertainers FC is starting to emerge as the dark horse in the title race as the season passes the midway point. Having played five games less than second placed D’Angelos Saints due to timing conflicts, the home side scored an impressive 3-1 win over Giocatori FC at Ang Mo Kio Secondary this week. Special mention for Man of the Match, Jonathan Xu, who scored a hat-trick for his side. Their real test will most likely come in the form of Chestercity in the coming weeks. Over at Yio Chu Kang Secondary, Jugar Duro finally garnered their first win of the season beating Team Awesome 3-1 in a pulsating affair. The home side had three simple words for us after the game, “We Are Back”. Also at the same venue, Lion Heart Alpha continued their winning streak with an impressive 4-2 win over Atlas FC. The home side had this to say after the game, “Two quick-fire goals left us with a mountain to climb in the second half. We managed to pull a goal back through Adi but Lionheart continued to pressure us and managed to score another two. Kudos to the Lionheart Goalkeeper who was the Man of the Match in our opinion. His countless saves from all sorts of angles won the game for his side”.

Week 15: 36 Goals in 4 Matches
It was goals bonanza this weekend with thirty-six scored in just four matches. The biggest result was the tie between Tem Awesome and Entertainers FC that ended with an 11-4 score-line. Man of the Match, Jonathan Xu scored four out of the eleven in that tie. Lionheart Alpha made it two wins in two matches this week with a 3-2 win over Jugar Duro at Ang Mo Kio Secondary thanks to goals from Syafiq Zainuddin. Over at Marsiling Secondary D’Angelos Saints came back from the dead yet again after Atlas FC took a 3-0 lead against them thanks to fine efforts from Azlan “Yayan” Yazid, Adi “Bulldozer” Sufian and G.Raghu. The home side then responded through Mohan Raj who scored a hat-trick earning him the Man of the Match award. Atlas FC had this to say after the game, “We’ve been out of form as of late so it was a shock to all of us when we took the lead thanks to a close range effort from Raghu. Captain “Yayan” then rounded the keeper to make it 2-0 before Adi knocked in Navin’s cross from the flank. We then threw away the 3-0 lead but we’re happy with a point considering D’Angelos are flying high in the league standings. Kudos to our opponents for the great game.”
League leaders Chestercity were held to a pulsating 5-5 draw against Giocatori FC at Anderson Secondary. The away side had this to say after the game, “This was quite possibly of our worst performances all season. Not only were we complacent but we were also hit with a couple of last min withdrawals. Thanks for the thrilling match Giocatori. We’ll be sure to put on a better performance in the home leg.”

Week 14: Scrappy wins at the top of the table
Both league leaders Chestercity and second placed D’Angelos Saints scored scrappy but crucial wins this week over Team Awesome and Jugar Duro respectively. Chestercity’s only goal was scored by Erfan Zakariah when he clinically placed the ball into the net in the 20th min of play. Team Awesome had this to say after the game, “Having beaten them 8-4 in our first tie we knew that the away fixture was going to be difficult. We started the game with only eight players and they took full advantage of that. When we finally got 11 on the pitch, their striker put our defence in a trance and he somehow managed to dance his way to goal. We managed to put up a better fight in the second half with more attacking play but somehow couldn’t find the back of the net. Overall it was a very good game with real spirit and grip. Team Awesome would like to wish Chestercity all the best in their pursuit for the league title.”
Over at Yio Chu Kang Secondary, D’Angelos Saints came back from the dead to beat a resilient Jugar Duro 3-2 in a game that could have gone either way. Afeez Jamil gave the home side the lead in 40th min before M.Iqbal made it 2-0 for Jugar Duro in the 55th min. D’Angelos then came back through goals from Indran Selvan, Thinesh S and leading Div 3 Top Goal-scorer Nagaraj “KUN” Seh. The loss means that pre-season title favourites Jugar Duro find themselves miraculously sitting at the bottom of the league table having garnered only one point all season.

Week 13: Chestercity one step closer to the title thanks to retiring striker
This week marked an emotional roller-coaster for Ridwan Salim as the Chestercity owner called time on an illustrious social footballing career, scoring two goals in his side’s 3-2 win over D’Angelos. The result means that the league leader’s have now done the double over their closest rivals and have moved four points clear at the top of the league standings. The home side had this to say after the game, “We managed to do the double over D'Angelos and extend our lead at the top. This would be the final appearance for Ridwan Salim who decided to retire after this match. The striker gave us a beautiful parting gift as he scored twice to give us a comfortable lead after excellent wing play by Ryan Sufiyan. D'Angelos dug deep to find 2 equalizers but there was no stopping Erfan Zakariah as his curling finesse shot struck off the post to give City all 3 points and a farewell gift for departing Ridwan. We would like to wish D'Angelos all the best for the rest of the season. We’d also like to wish Ridwan all the best in his future endeavors. His name and contributions to the team will forever be etched in our hearts. We will miss you.”

Week 12: D’Angelos still in the running
With only one game played this week, D’Angelos custodian in goal, Prabhu Krishnamurthy bagged the only Man of the Match thanks to a stellar performance that saw his side beat Giocatori FC 4-2 at Ang Mo Kio Secondary. A win was crucial for the home side with league leaders Chestercity awarded a walk-over 3-0 win against Sparta Cowboys. Nitin “Notorious” Nambiar was on target for D’Angelos thanks to a penalty which he put away like a seasoned pro and was joined by Division 3 leading goal-scorer Nagaraj “Kun” Seh, Moolah Lea and Mohan Raj.
The Notorious One had this to say after the game, “We’re gunning for the title. We needed to win this game and we did what we set out to do. I felt that we could have scored a few more but we didn’t take our chances. Credit to Prabhu who had an excellent game. It was great to grab a goal of my own today. I predicted I was gonna score today and I did. Precision beats power. Timing beats speed. We were precise and timely today”.

Week 11: D’Angelos edge Team Awesome in 13 goal thriller
Sunday Premier League Divison 3 leading Top Scorer, Nagaraj “Kun” She played a pivotal role in his sides 9-4 win over third placed Team Awesome this week as the prolific striker found the back of the net on four separate occasions. “Kun” who was also named Man of the Match at Ang Mo Kio secondary, was joined by goals from Thinesh S, Sasitharan Krishnamurthy and Idran Selvan.
Over at Anderson Secondary, league leaders Chestercity beat Atlas FC 4-1 thanks to fine efforts from Erfan Zakariah, Afiq Khalis and Indra Shaiful. The home side had this to say after the game, “It was an away fixture with City again claiming victory with the same scoreline 4-1. Having a last minute call up to the goalkeeping department, City were never troubled by Atlas FC attacking force as we managed to shut out most of their advances. It was a great game for both teams. We took control of the match and we wish Atlas FC all the best in their season. We take on D'Angelos next week in a game that could decide the title.”

Week 10: Happy New Year for D’Angelos
D’Angelos celebrated the New Year in dramatic fashion as they moved to second spot in the league standings with an impressive 5-1 win over Giocatori FC at Ang Mo Kio Secondary. Man of the Match Moolah Lea was on target twice for the home side together with goals from Nagaraj “Kun” Seh, Thinesh S and Mohan Raj.
Team Captain Hamren had this to say after the final whistle, “The boys knew that the three points would be crucial today. We had the right mind-set straight from kick-off and it showed in the way we dominated play most parts of the game. The win puts us in second place but we’ll take one game at a time. The target is to finish with honours and we’re on the right track”.

Week 9: Lionhearted performances
This week saw league leaders Chestercity beat title hopefuls D’Angelos at Anderson Secondary in a match which neither team could afford to lose. Gabir Nabil’s two goals together with former S.League player, Duncan Elias’s fine effort saw Chestercity come away 3-1 winners in a closely fought encounter which could have gone either way. Atlas FC scored an important win to keep their title hopes alive as they came from 2-0 down to beat Jugar Duro 5-4 thanks to a hat-trick by Man of the Match, Adi “Bulldozer” Sufian.
Over at Bedok South Secondary, Lion Heart Alpha scored an impressive 4-2 win over an in-form Team Awesome who were on a four match unbeaten streak. They had this to say after the game, “The team had to lick their wounds after the 8-2 crushing at the hands of Entertainers FC. And what a way to bounce back, racing 3-0 into the lead against a Team Awesome team lacking reserve players. Taking full advantage of our deep bench, the team played possession football and made it hard for the opponents. Team Awesome tried very hard to deny us the victory towards the end but a last minute goal by Mirun sealed all three points for us.”

Week 8: Title hopes starting to fade for Atlas
Atlas FC, who sit in third place in the league standings took a beating this week at the hands of sixth placed Chestercity at Anderson Secondary. Ridwan Salim, Bob Ashura, Erfan Zakariah and Gabir Nabil were on target as Chestercity came away 4-1 winners. Chestercity had this to say after the game, “With yet another disappointing turnout due to last minute withdrawals and also key players out, City have to dwell again in a match playing with 10 men in the first 15mins. But yet again City showed that we can deliver when the odds are stacked against us. We never want a repeat of the 8-4 drubbing we took against Team Awesome and the lads certainly showed that this time round. We held our heads high and Ridwan calm our nerves down when he scored to put us in the lead when we started with only 10 men. From there onwards, it was our game. Kudos to Atlas players who showed sportsmanship throughout the entire match”.

Week 7: Entertainers bounce back
Following their 2-1 defeat to Team Awesome in their last outing, Entertainers FC bounced back in dramatic fashion this week hitting eight goals past Lion Heart Aplha at Bedok South Secondary. Man of the Match, S. Prasath found the back of the net on five occasions and was joined by Janus Lim, Jonathan Xu and Premkumar Selvaraj.
Giocatori FC and Atlas FC played to a fierce 3-3 draw at the same venue. Atlas had this to say after the game, “Our Captain Azlan Yayan Yazid scored a sensational hat-trick for us today to earn us a point. This despite the fact that we were 3-1 down at one stage. There were some delaying tactics by our opponents but we managed to overcome that with our experience in the X-League. At the end of the day we feel that its two points dropped but we’re still aiming for the Championship”.

Week 6: Team Awesome are on a roll
It was goals galore at Anderson Secondary this week as Team Awesome put on an outstanding display following their 2-1 win over Entertainers FC last week to beat Chestercity FC in a 12 goal thriller. The home side came away 8-4 winners thanks to a hat-trick from Man of the Match, Mohd Asrezal and goals from Muhammad Nordin, Azri Hanafiah, Safari Rahim, Md Fazdly aka Max and Baktijamil Zainudin. Special mention also goes out to Ryan Sufiyan who scored a hat-trick of his own for the away side.
This was followed by a nine goal thriller between Lion Heart FC Alpha and Giocatori FC. The home side came away 5-4 winners in a match that could have gone either way. Lion Heart had this to say after the game, “It was an end to end game straight from kick-off. In the end, a last min goal sealed the three points for us. Credit to our opponents for a fantastic game”.

Week 5: Awesome Weekend
Lionheart FC scored their biggest win of the season when they hit eight past Sparta Cowboys FC this week. The away side had this to say after the game, “It was a complete demolition of Sparta this time around. A completely opposite result debut in the X League when we used to get trashed by their teams like these in the past. 10/10 performance in all departments. Kudos to the lads”. Moolah Lea, Mohan Raj and Thinesh S scored two goals each which saw league leaders D’Angelos FC continue their dominance at the top of the league standings when they beat Atlas FC 6-1 at Marsiling Secondary.
A goal from S.Prasath in the 68th min was not enough for Entertainers FC this week as they succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to team Awesome at Regent Secondary. The away side scored twice on the counter to secure their first win of the season. Over at Coral Secondary, Jugar Duro and Chestercity played to a 1-1 draw.

Week 4: Chestercity kick-off season with impressive win
Chestercity’s first game of the season has been highly anticipated. The social club runs operations at professionally with players signings highlighted with pictures on their Facebook page. Lionheart Alpha turned out to be their first victims of the season as the home side secured 2-0 win at Marsiling Secondary thanks to fine efforts by Ahmad Khan and Erfan Zakariah. Chestercity had this to say after the game, “A great start to the season for City. Kudos to Lionheart FC who pushed us to the final minute. Missing a few key players and playing the whole match with 11 men under the blistering 1pm hot sun could not deter our enthusiasm. Throughout the match City won the battle in air with 7 headers won by their striker Ridwan Salim. Good match. Great quality. Thank you Lionheart for the sportsmanship”.
Over at Anderson Secondary, D’Angelos Saints maintained top spot in the league standings with a hard fought 3-2 win over highly fancied Sparta Cowboys. Nagaraj “kun” She, Moolah Lea and Thinesh S were on target for the home side. D’Angelos had this to say after the game, “It was a well fought match between both sides. Both had created chances and played attacking football. D'angelos wanted the win more and we got it. GG”.

Week 3: Atlas FC kick off season with hard fought win
Atlas FC, who finished 3rd in Div 3 in their last campaign got their season underway with a hard fought 3-2 win over Lion Heart FC Alpha at Anderson Secondary thanks to goals from Rausyan Yazid, Adi "Bulldozer" Sufian and X-League superstar, Azlan 'Yayan' Yazid. The away side had this to say at the end of the match, “We’ve started the season with a good 3-2 win. 3 goals coming from all three strikers is a good sign. Youngster Rausyan open the scoring in the first half with a good finish but the opponents managed to equalize soon after. Adi then regained the lead for us with a thunderous shot making it 2-1 going into half-time. Our Captain then scored with a looping header over the onrushing goalkeeper. Lionheart pulled one back with a long-range strike but we remained disciplined and kept our composure to secure all 3 points”.
Over at Regent Secondary, Sparta Cowboys put in a disciplined performance to come away 2-0 winners against Giocatori FC. The Cowboys had this to say post-match, “It was a great display by the team today. We put in a lot of effort to get a positive result for our first game and it paid off.”
